Angus Milan proved too strong for the opposition when winning Down Royal's two mile handicap hurdle by three and three quarter lengths.
Delighted trainer Noel Kelly said: "He loved that ground. It was a very nice ride from Chris (Timmons), he did what he was told. This horse might be out again in Limerick in two days time.
"It's the first winner on the track for the owner (Victor McCrea from Stewartstown). He has had horses for years but that's the first horse he's had with me."
The 5/1 shot hit the front three out and found plenty for Timmons to beat Skellig Rocks (16/1). Court Jester who was running in this race for the fourth year in a row, was gambled on from 22/1 in the morning down to an SP of 7/1. He came home third. He won this race in 2012.
