Co Galway trainer Val O'Brien made a successful trip to Killarney today, when Barna Bay under a strong ride from John Cullen, caused a 25/1 surprise when landing the Malton Winners Enclosure Novice Chase.

Afterwards O'Brien reported “Barna Bay's last run, his second run over fences, wasn't too bad but he was running against some highly rated horses here today. We'll go for a novice chase at Galway next.”
