Jack Kennedy recorded the biggest success of his fledgling career as he partnered From Frost to victory in the Ladbrokes Jack Duggan Memorial Handicap Hurdle.

Having finished a good second to stable mate Cape Glory at Roscommon earlier in the month, the UK import was sent off a 10/1 chance in the colours of Christopher Donnelly.

Having just his fifth start over flights the four-year-old son of Nayef was settled towards rear.

He took closer order from the third last and improved to track the leaders turning into the straight.

He was ridden to challenge from two out and jumped last alongside Duckweed outbattling that one on the run-in, getting up to score by three parts of a length.

The aforementioned Duckweed was sent off the 6/1 joint-favourite (12/1 last night) and she had to settle for second under Paul Townend for Jessica Harrington. Best Value (22/1) ran a fine race to take third, a further length and three parts back under Shane Crimin for TJ Nagle, while Jarob was another length and a quarter back in fourth under Robbie Colgan for Andrew Lynch at 20/1.

Horrendous Hulabaloo was the other joint-favourite and he finished a disappointing ninth.

Gordon Elliott said afterwards: "Jack gave him a good ride and he doesn't do much wrong. He definitely wants good ground and he'll mix it with flat and hurdles."
