Carrigmartin (4s into 9/4) landed a nice touch in the Carney's Bar Maiden Hurdle under Mark Walsh, scoring by two lengths from Turner Brown at Ballinrobe.

For the Captain Cee Bee connections of JP McManus and Eddie Harty, this son of King's Theatre led going into the top bends and he pulled out what was required from before the last to outpoint the bunched placed horses, Turner Brown, Definite All Star and Roll Over Rover

Harty commented of his charge, coming off a 255 day break: "He pulled muscles at Down Royal last November and it has just taken a while to get him right. He handled the ground well and he is a nice horse who'll jump a fence in time."

Carrigmartin's dam, Donna's Princess won three races including two chases and Carrigmartin cost 54,000 Euros as a yearling at Tattersalls in 2006.
