Chamonix completed his hat-trick in fine style when running on an impressive winner of the Edmund and Josie Whelan Memorial Stakes at Listowel.

Joseph O'Brien popped the well backed even-money favourite (from 11/8) out in front and he kicked for home turning into the straight.

The well-bred son of Galileo galloped on strongly down the straight, pulling clear of his rivals.

O'Brien could afford to ease down in the closing stages as stable-mate Demurely came through to chase him home by three-and-three-quarter lengths.

The winner has been a wide-margin winner on each of his three victories and Joseph O'Brien thinks there is still plenty to come from the three-year-old.

"He's a tough horse and he tries hard. He handled the ground but I think he'll be a better horse on a bit nicer ground. He's a horse going places

"I think he'll be a much better horse next year. He's quite big and raw still and quite leery and lazy. He has the cheekpieces on and is still a bit immature.

"He's a lovely horse and he's improving."
