Connyella finally gets there
Kieran O'Neill rode his fourth winner of the campaign when getting Connyella up in the closing stages of the Derrinstown Stud Apprentice Handicap to outpoint Dusty Trail by half a length.
Winning trainer, Pat Flynn was obviously delighted by the success as the six-year-old daughter of Val Royal was shedding her maiden tag at the fifteenth attempt.
Flynn said: "She was down in the danger zone (minimum rating 47) for a while, so she's out of there now which is good. I thought she won easy in the finish, she just took off for him."
