Cullen gets Max response from Speed
Max Speed responded well to John Cullen's urgings to run out a game winner of the handicap chase at Ballinrobe for Iggy Madden.
The 10-year-old hit the front before the second last and held off the late lung of Moscow Breeze to score by three-parts of a length.
"We had the right man on board and he gave him some spin," said Madden.
"They went fair quick and it worked out well for us. He has had a lot of leg problems and if he comes out of this okay we'll keep him going."
Brian Carey suffered a fractured tibia after being unseated from Deedeetee in the race.
