With Dermot Weld’s Pacelli Road lame and a non runner in the two mile three-year-old maiden hurdle at Limerick, the task on paper was made easier for favourite Dogora and she duly recorded a four and three quarter length success.

Paul Towned led or disputed throughout on the Willie Mullins trained grey and scooted home from the last to land the 1/2 odds from Spot The Pro (14/1) and Danequest (9/2).

Townend was impressed with the performance and said: “He was very professional and he jumped very well. He couldn’t have done it any nicer.”

Dogora was introduced at 33/1 for the Triumph Hurdle at Cheltenham by bookmaker Stan James.
