Dromana blitzed her rivals in the Sean Cleary Memorial Handicap, coming home thirteen lengths to the good under Andrew Slattery.

Successful at Limerick in June, the John Oxx trained four-year-old was a beaten favourite on her three starts since.

Racing on soft ground for the first time this evening, the daughter of Dutch Art was again sent off favourite, returned at the odds of 7/2 in the colours of Sonia and Anthony Rogers.

Settled towards rear, the bay victor made good headway on the outer approaching the straight and eased to front with less than two furlongs to race.

She soon powered clear and came home in splendid isolation, with the front-running Greenpanda (4/1) filling the runner-up spot under Ben Coen for Gavin Cromwell.

The Ross O'Sullivan trained Universal Focus (13/2) completed the placings a further two and a quarter lengths back in third.

"She handles the soft doesn't she!" said Oxx.

"I would have been disappointed if she hadn't won a second race. She's been running well and has been a bit unlucky a couple of times.

"She's been running on good fast ground, suddenly the ground changes and you see a different filly, it's amazing, she loved the ground.

"That might be her last run as she's going to stud. We've won two now and she'll take a bit of a jump in the ratings so that might be her last run.

"She's a lovely filly, a real pet with a lovely temperament and she's very consistent. I'm delighted we've won a second race with her.

"With a filly going to stud the higher the rating the better so we won't give out to the handicapper this time."
