Enterprise Up to the Mark on Debut

Wed 1st Apr 2009, 19:58

After a couple of shock results it was left to Willie and Patrick Mullins to get things back to normal when the favourite, Enterprise Park at 3/1, beat nineteen other newcomers in the Bennettsbridge Flat Race.

This son of Goldmark, from the family of Risk Of Thunder and The Listener, got the better of the well-backed Sparkling Tara (6s in the morning into 100/30) by half a length. The pair drew six lengths clear of the third, Fort George The well-bred Captive Audience finished fifth.

Mullins said: "He is not a bad sort. There is a possibility he'd go to Punchestown but I'm leaning towards the Rockview Bumper at the Curragh for him." (EM)
