The Pat Murphy trained Every Breath made a winning debut on the all-weather at Dundalk this evening when breaking her maiden tag at the sixth attempt in the concluding Light Up Your Night Handicap (div 2).
Ridden by 7lbs claimer Gavin Ryan, the three year old daughter of Bated Breath battled well in gaining a neck win over Major Power
Afterwards trainer Murphy stated “the step up in trip helped although we were a bit concerned about the surface as we knew she didn’t want firm during the summer. We schooled her here two weeks ago and she seemed to like it so we are happy enough to give her a small campaign up here.
“She’s a big filly and seems to be still growing a bit. She had a setback earlier in the year so we will probably keep her going until Christmas and see how it goes.
“The (Wise Pursuit) Syndicate are from Laois, Kildare and a man from Mayo who is living in the Caribbean. It’s great to get a winner for them.”
