The Grade B Tim Duggan Memorial Handicap Chase takes centre stage on day two of the Limerick Christmas festival.

Not surprisingly given its €50,000 prize-fund, the near two-and-a-half-miler is a hotly-contested affair.

Winners of the event for the past two years, Pairofbrowneyes and Page Turner are back again, while other course winners in the field are Domesday Book Ludo Et Emergo and Rightville Boy

Paddy Neville owns and trains Rightville Boy locally at Askeaton. The eight-year-old would be a popular winner after his gallant efforts to earn place prize-money on his most recent starts in the Kerry and Munster Nationals.

At the other end of the experience scale, three of the runners contest their first handicap chase and one of these, Damut could provide the solution.

This fellow hasn't shown much in three starts over the larger obstacles to date, but he's been competing in good class beginners events and is well familiar with jumping fences having started off in point-to-points back in 2013.

Joe Dullea 's Gamut gelding is in possession of a hurdle rating that currently stands at 130. He runs here off 126 and with useful 7Ib claimer JJ Slevin due to take the reins, a big performance is expected from the four-time hurdling victor. Dimple could bring forward his excellent recent form from the point-to-point fields to make it four wins in a row when he goes in the Earl of Harrington Memorial Maiden Hunters Chase.

Young Liam Quinlan, a brother of jockeys Sean and Roger, is a name for the future. He's gelled seamlessly with former English track racer Dimple so far, and the grey has definite claims for owner David Armstrong and trainer Andy Slattery. Dare To Endeavour meanwhile, last appeared when unseating in the Becher Chase. He looks interesting for Eric McNamara and Mikey Fogarty in the Roches Feeds Handicap Hurdle.
