Galant Ferns sluices up at Limerick
Galant Ferns for Liam Kenny & Bryan Cooper came home an easy winner after 3 miles of the Patrickswell GAA novice handicap hurdle, winning by eighteen lengths at the finish.
The Bob Back mare was cruising from along way out as her rivals struggled, she hit the front before 2 out and the race was over as a contest from then on.
The 5/2fav Somatic for Ruby Walsh & Tony Martin never looked like threatening and was eventually pulled up before the last.
Liam Kenny said of his winner “When she is on form, she is very good. She probably appreciated the juice in the ground.
We will probably go for another 3 mile handicap hurdle next, hopefully the handicapper won’t be too hard on her.”
