The Gordon Elliott trained, Gigginstown House Stud owned Altiepix completed his bumper/maiden hurdle/beginners chase full set when landing the opening Book Your Easter Festival Tickets Today Beginners Chase at Fairyhouse today.
Ridden by Bryan Cooper, the French bred gelding improved to lead approaching the second last fence and while he was chased by Thekingofconnemara on the run-in, held on for a length and a half win.
Afterwards Elliott stated “it was a weak enough contest but he jumped and stayed. He may be better when the ground dries up a bit.”
