Gigginstown House Stud and Bryan Cooper followed up their success half-an-hour earlier with the Willie Mullins-handled Gangster when Cape Glory led home a Gordon Elliott-trained one, two in the Athlone Handicap Hurdle at Roscommon.

Now three from three when tackling this two and a half mile trip, Cape Glory (8/1) assumed command from before the last, where eventual fifth home, well-backed second favourite Bishopslough was squeezed for room and had to switch.

The strong favourite Steel King (7/2 into 2/1) was beaten at that stage, and though he finished off well the best he could do was fourth at the line.

Meanwhile Cape Glory stretched away on the run-in to account for his stable companion, From Frost and Wood Breizh by three and three parts of a length and half a length.

"He did it well and the step back up to two and a half miles helped him. He'll probably go chasing soon," reported Cooper, who was cautioned to ride with more care after the aforementioned incident.
