Coolaghknock Glebe completed back-to-back successes in fine style when defying his penalty at Down Royal in the Bet With The Tote Handicap Hurdle.

Christy Roche 's charge had run out a cosy winner at Fairyhouse last Saturday and it was a similar story today under a confident ride from Alan Crowe.

The 13/8 favourite was produced to lead at the last and quickly asserted on the run-in for a comfortable two-and-three-quarter length success over Tyrone Tiger

The JP McManus-owned landed a bit of a touch on Saturday and showed no ill-effects from that run as he doubled up under a 6lb penalty.

"He jumped well today. It was a good job from Christy turning him out again from Fairyhouse. He did it well and we are happy,” said Crowe afterwards.

"You would hope there might be a good one in him over fences."
