The ground at Gowran Park is now soft ahead of today's seven race card which kicks off at 1.35pm.

The Kilkenny track received 4mm of rain overnight changing the going from the yielding to soft (soft in places) at declaration.

The Red Mills Chase is the highlight and star performer Rubi Light will relish the conditions in the two-and-a-half mile contest. Zaidpour is a short price to land the other Grade 2 on the card, the Red Mills Trial Hurdle.

Meanwhile the ground has also eased slightly ahead of tomorrow's meeting at Navan where the going is now described as yielding to soft on the hurdle course and yielding to soft (soft in places) on the chase course following 5mm of rain.

The Ladbrokes Boyne Hurdle is just one of three Grade 2 events on a seven race card which gets underway at 1.50pm.
