Hounds lands the odds in Tipp opener

Sun 11th Jul 2010, 14:29

The opening race at Tipperary proved a quiet betting affair, with Master Of Hounds trading very short, and the Ballydoyle colt justified his skimpy odds in great style.

The 1/7 shot was sent to the lead turning for home by Johnny Murtagh and never looked in any danger.

The son of Kingmambo went clear running to the furlong pole and kept up the gallop to record a cosy six length success. Poltava chased him home while there was a further length to Hanginthebalance Winning trainer Aidan O'Brien was absent.
