Course-specialist Inishmot Prince (7/1) notched a seventh career success today — all at Dundalk, landing the Now Racing Every Wednesday Handicap for trainer Tom McCourt, jockey James Ryan and owner/breeder Oliver Curtis.
Five of the five-year-old sprinter's initial wins were gained in 2022 and while connections waited until October for this year's first win, added another today when battling to a three-parts of a length win over Distillate
Trainer McCourt said "he has been coming into great form at home, he was very well the last week and we were fairly hopeful of a big run again.
"The strong pace was ideal for him, he just loves coming off a strong pace and still only does enough. He will probably come back here next week for an 80-rated five furlong race, then we'll leave him alone until the new year. As long as he is in that kind of form, we'll keep him going.
"James has got very polished and strong, he knows those horses well which is a big plus and it is great to have him."
