Willie McCreery had a double at Roscommon comprising Kanes Pass on the flat and Love The Feeling in the two mile maiden hurdle for three-year-olds.

The filly had raced 12 times on the flat without getting her head in front. Her highest handicap rating was 64. Put over hurdles this evening and she is now one from one.

She tracked the leaders before getting on terms at the third last. She was ridden by Mark Walsh to lead before the final hurdle and kept on well to score by four and a half lengths at 11/1. Cabarete at 11/4 took second while Tarabiyn (9/4) was a neck down in third. Lady Clitico was the 7/4 favourite from 7/2 in the morning. She led throughout, but once she was headed before three out she could make no further headway and finished fourth.

Willie McCreery said: “She has disappointed me on the flat, but all the jockeys have been telling me to wait for soft ground with her. She has done a bit of schooling and liked it. I think they watered the hurdle track so maybe it wasn’t as fast as we thought.

“I bought her sister because she (Love The Feeling) was a nice two-year-old, but maybe she’ll need a bit of time as well.

“Billy (Lee) rode her (Love The Feeling) the last day at Leopardstown and she just got hampered at the wrong time.”
