Minella For Value went one better in this year's renewal of the hunters chase at Killarney.

Only On The Fringe could live with the leader coming to the fourth last but he soon came under pressure.

The 12-year-old drew well clear by the third last and remorselessly strode away by 15 lengths at the finish. He attracted plenty of support that saw his price contract to 5/2.

Runner-up On The Fringe (3/1) couldn't trouble the winner but was three and a quarter lengths in front of Wilcosdiana at 7/1.

Trainer/jockey Declan Queally said: "That was brilliant and he has been a terrific servant. He was sick in Cheltenham and it is nice for him to come back and show what he is made of.

"He's not showing his age yet so roll on another year! He'll run in Listowel in June and we'll then drive on again after a summer's break. He hasn't much mileage so we'll keep going."
