Mullins keeps up winning tempo
The Willie Mullins bandwagon will roll out of Fairyhouse later today with at least one winner, thanks to the odds-on success of Galway Plate winner Blazing Tempo in the Follow Nina Carberry On Twitter Rated Hurdle.
Despite making a bad mistake at the third last flight, Blazing Tempo and Paul Townend (returning from injury) had three and three parts of a length advantage over Dooney Rock at the line.
Afterwards Mullins stated “it’s nice for Paul to get back on a winning note. We’ll try and do the same with Blazing Tempo and try and find another nice race for her - she’ll mix it over hurdles and fences.
“She just took her eye off the third last but she jumped well for a mare coming back from fences.”
