There were back-to-back winners for owner Sean Gallagher at Dundalk tonight. The 7.00 went to his Free To Roam (Ado McGuinness and Killian Leonard) whilst Commander Won did the job under the yellow and green silks in the following Fund Raising Made Easy At Dundalk Handicap.

Shane Foley took the bull by the horns from the front on the Dermot McLoughlin trained 4/1 chance.

Well-backed earlier on, Commander Won soon led and he made virtually all.

Clear after half a mile, the five-year-old was ridden and was well clear entering the straight.

The McLoughlin runner had a reduced advantage a furlong out, but he kept on inside the last. All out close home Commander Won had three parts of a length to spare over Alcander

"He went some gallop but that's all the horse does is keep galloping so there is no point in holding him up," said McLoughlin.

"He said he's fair genuine and he enjoyed himself in front and kept galloping. He enjoys it in front when he gets his own way like that.

"It was a competitive little race but he did it well. He's after winning three races here now.

"He might jump a hurdle now, we'll see. I didn't want to run him too often here but he obviously enjoys it. Last year he wasn't just liking it here but I don't know why.

"We'll have to see what the handicapper does and then decide what we want to do.

"He's decent. Shane said he went a good gallop and kept picking up for him. He'll get further as well."

Andrew Slattery, trainer of Sharjah reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge missed the break.

The Turf Club Veterinary Officer examined Repare Mon trained by Thomas Mullins, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be lame on its right hind.
