Nine times Champion Amateur Jockey Patrick Mullins notched up his 400th winner at Tramore today when steering his father Willie Mullins' Pearl Diamond to win the concluding Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Mares Bumper.
Mullins sent Pearl Diamond to the front a furlong and a half out before staying on well for a three and a quarter lengths win over Glendine River
Mullins senior was himself sending out a third winner of the four day Festival and a second today (Upazo won earlier, and later stated "she has improved nicely but I didn't expect her to win a bumper like that.
"She has a lovely pedigree, likes this dry ground and will probably try for a winners' bumper. She can also go hurdling or she might even win a maiden on the flat."
