There was a bit of a question mark about which might go off favourite but there was absolutely no arguing with Roheryn s superiority over Alafzara out on the track in the second at Wexford, the Hen And Stag Parties At Wexford Racecourse Maiden.
Seven to four shot Roheryn made all in the extended mile three contest and favourite Alafzara (6/4) who tracked, tried her case from before the straight.
However Roheryn asserted inside the final quarter mile under Emmet McNamara and the Qatar Racing Limited owned daughter of Galileo eventually crossed the line a comfortable eight lengths to the good. There were ten lengths back to the third placed Taqarrob
Shane Lyons, representing his brother, winning trainer Ger, said: "She got the job done. It was important for her to win her maiden given her breeding.
"She done it well - she stays forever and she wants good ground. She'll stay in training and hopefully she'll keep progressing.
"Today was the plan. We'll get her home now and probably find a handicap for her." (DM & EM)
