Shakeytry won for the first time over the larger obstacles at the sixth attempt in the Tomcoole Farm Ltd. Novice Handicap Chase at Wexford.
Owned by Michael Lowry’s Glebeland Farm Partnership, Shakeytry here added to his Downpatrick June 2018 handicap hurdle success.
Phillip Enright was aboard, and the Portrait Gallery gelding was always to the fore before getting the better of Conright Boy and Weihnachts by three parts of a length and the same.
“He’s been running very consistent and it’s nice to win again with him. He jumped very well and found enough in the finish,” said winning trainer Edward O’Grady.
“If we keep racing we’ll find something similar, and he might even prefer better ground.”
