Shuil Sheeran seals Kiely's treble at Navan

Sat 25th Sep 2010, 18:03

John Kiely's remarkable day ended in style when Shuil Sheeran powered away from her rivals to dominate the bumper at Navan in the hands of David Kiely.

Kiely posted three winners and a runner up from his business at the Meath track and commented that he believed it was six years since his last treble at the then Mallow racecourse.

Shuil Sheeran was the subject of a morning gamble from 8/1 to 4/1 but she was allowed to go off 7/1 on course. She made a mockery of those odds with a five length victory over Fire Belt The fast finishing Sky Pilot was a further three lengths back in third. The winner is expected to go hurdling now.
