The Johnny Levins trained Aye Aye Skipper claimed a second win of the week at the Curragh today, following up Wednesday's Killarney heroics with more success in the Mongey Communications Handicap.
Ridden by Gary Carroll, the five year old gelding raced with the leaders before being produced to lead inside the final furlong for a comfortable two lengths win over Double Fast
Following today's win Levins stated "Gary gave him a lovely uncomplicated ride. I was a bit worried about the ground but felt he was the best horse in the race.
"He's in again at Bellewstown on Wednesday and we'll see how he comes out of this and check his bloods before deciding."
The winning eight member Oi Oi Skipper Syndicate includes sports' journalists Johnny Ward (Racing Post) and Daniel McDonnell (Irish Independent).
