Trainer Harry Kelly wisely opted to stay home from Wexford today despite missing seeing his Theatre Sunset cause a 16/1 upset in the opening www.wexfordraces.ie Maiden Hurdle.
Ridden by Sean Flanagan, the daughter of King's Theatre wore down front-running Hard Fought in the closing stages for a neck win and afterwards Kelly's brother Jimmy Kelly stated "Harry is busy at home as he getting married next Saturday - he is being kept on a tight leash!"
He added "she works nicely at home. She got bumped and bustled around the last day so we rode her wide today, just for a bit of light.
"She is a seven-year-old mare in her first season and is a nice mare for the future. She's learning, and is still green and we're delighted to get the win as we've been knocking on the door and this is a change in fortunes."
