Tibet conquers his rivals

Sat 24th Sep 2011, 18:14

Group One-entered Tibet scored on debut for Aidan and Joseph O’Brien in the closing second division of the one mile maiden at Gowran Park.

The son of Dansili is entered in the Dewhurst and Racing Post Trophy and his jockey confirmed they are on the agenda.

“That was good and he settled well. I’m not sure where he will go next but we will look at some of the nicer two-year-old races towards the back end of the season,” Joseph O’Brien, who put up three pounds overweight, said.

The colt overcame Jim Bolger’s Amhrasach (5/2) by a head after a final furlong battle despite suffering negative market vibes when drifting from 7/4 to an SP of 3/1.

David Wachman’s Pyrenean Music who cut out most of the pace belied his odds of 25/1 to finish third at 25/1.
