Ger Lyons and Colin Keane completed a 21/1 double at Navan as Unsinkable returned to form by taking the Come Racing For Summer Ladies Day June 13th Handicap in fine style.
The five-year-old grey son of Verglas, successful over a mile at Leopardstown last autumn, was ridden a lot more prominently and stepped up to ten furlongs here, cruising to the front around three furlongs out.
The 7/1 chance asserted well over a furlong out for Keane, and kept on well to beat evens favourite Ripples Effect by two and a half lengths.
The Lyons/Keane alliance were also on the mark earlier on the card with impressive 7/4 favourite Ardhoomey in the sprint maiden.
Lyons said, "I'm delighted for David (Spratt, owner). I was wondering if he was just a soft ground horse, and we have more options now over that trip."
