Vallado dented some lofty reputations in the six furlong juvenile fillies’ maiden at Leopardstown when striding clear at 12/1.

Eddie Lynam’s charge had been second on debut over course and distance to Tahaany in July and made the most of that experience when dominating from the front this evening under Shane Foley.

The Sea The Stars filly My Titania made eyecatching progress from last into second as the field came into the home straight. However, from there she had no answer to Vallado’s finishing kick. Still, it was a promising debut for the much-talked about filly.

Valladoo came in clear by two and three parts of a length and it was a result that didn’t surprise Eddie Lynam who said: “She did it well and we like her. She was second first time which was a big achievement for one of ours.

“She was 12/1 and nobody seemed to fancy her but I thought she would run well. She probably hasn’t enough experience, but she’s qualified for the sales race next weekend (Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sales Stakes at the Curragh on August 24).

“It’s worth a lot of money so we’ll go for it. Shane said she was very green, but picked up when asked.”

David Wachman’s Three D Alexander was heavily backed down to 8/13 favouritism (from evens this morning) based on her third place to subsequent Group 2 winner Tapestry at the Curragh. She could make no impression though and came home fifth of the six runners.
