Young Purty excels under Nina
The Ingoldsby (Q.R.) Handicap Chase was all about favourite Bundle Of Fun beforehand but he produced a laboured effort to eventually take third place as a couple of runners on the pace dominated the closing stages at Punchestown.
Youngest horse in the line-up at five and bottom-weight in the big field three mile one furlong event, Dont Tell De Purty (Nina Carberry) eventually got the better of the game recent point-to-point winner, Dark Vagabond by half a length.
Aidan Howard trains Dont Tell De Purty for Robert Farrell and he said: "He done it well. He's only five and he gallops away all day. Better ground today helped him.
"He'll have a break now and come back in the spring."
