< Tranquil Sea (5/4 favourite) defied a drift in the betting market by landing back-to-back renewals of the Clonmel Oil Chase.

Despite struggling at the Aintree and Punchestown Festivals in the spring, Edward O'Grady's nine-year-old loves getting his toe into deep ground and his class shone through in the closing stages under Barry Geraghty.

An extremley eventful EBF T.A. Morris Memorial Mares Chase ultimately went the way of Blazing Tempo and Ruby Walsh.

Success looked highly unlikely for the 2-1 shot when badly hampered by faller Our Victoria two out, with Shop DJ and Definite Class seemingly going on to fight out the finish.

But Shop DJ took a heavy fall at the last, bringing down Definite Class in the process, while Walsh galvanised Blazing Tempo to come through and grab the prize by three and a half lengths from Gentle Alice

Walsh and O'Grady doubled up for the day when combining through Out Now (4/1) in the Prior Park Service Station Handicap Chase.< Texas Jack extended his unbeaten record to three with a cosy length and a quarter success in the INH Stallion Owners EBF Novice Hurdle.

Noel Meade's Fairyhouse maiden hurdle scorer travelled strongly at the back of the four-runner field and when Paul Carberry asked for a winning effort soon after the last, the 8-13 favourite cruised past Make A Track < Irish Soul completed a hat-trick of recent wins under Paddy Mangan in the Clonmel Oil Service Station Handicap Hurdle.

James Motherway's charge was sent off the 3-1 favourite following wins at Fairyhouse and Punchestown during October and he obliged by beating Some Target by a length.

The Martinstown Opportunity Handicap Hurdle went to 5-2 market leader Dul Ar An Ol trained by John McConnell.

The 10-year-old took over from front-runner Marlos Moment approaching the penultimate flight and a safe leap at the last saw him pull six and a half lengths clear of Stonehatchetmad
