< Order Of St George destroyed his opponents to regain his Comer Group International Irish St. Leger crown at the Curragh.

Successful in 2015 but surprisingly beaten by Wicklow Brave 12 months ago, Aidan O'Brien's 2-5 favourite was going so well on the turn that Ryan Moore allowed him to strike for home.

He quickly established a gap that never looked like being eroded and strode imperiously clear to beat Torcedor by nine lengths.< Verbal Dexterity gained revenge on his Railway Stakes conqueror Beckford with an impressive triumph in the Goffs Vincent O'Brien National Stakes.

Jim Bolger's 5-2 shot was always prominent in the hands of Kevin Manning and although Beckford loomed up two furlongs out apparently travelling better, Verbal Dexterity still had more to give and pulled three and a half lengths clear.

The O'Brien-trained Gustav Klimt was a non-runner, and his stable companion Clemmie was pulled out of the Moyglare Stud Stakes, but the Ballydoyle handler still enjoyed a one-two-three in the fillies' Group One.< Magical set the pace in a bid to supplement her Debutante Stakes success and appeared set to do so, but Happily (13-2) wore her down under Donnacha O'Brien and got the verdict by a short head, with September third.< Caravaggio regained the winning thread with a workmanlike display in the Derrinstown Stud Flying Five Stakes.

So good in the Commonwealth Cup but beaten twice subsequently, O'Brien's 9-10 favourite was being pushed along from some way out by Moore but eventually collared Alphabet to prevail by a length.< Shamreen (9-1) seemed to face a tougher field to the one she beat in the Moyglare 'Jewels' Blandford Stakes last year but she took the Group Two prize again, making all and scoring by three lengths from Beautiful Morning < Snazzy Jazzy took the valuable Tattersalls Ireland Super Auction Sale Stakes, while Ice Age completed a hat-trick in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Bold Lad' Sprint Handicap and Bolger's Panstarr won the Irish Stallion Farms EBF 'Northfields' Handicap.
