< Trading Leather stamped his class on the feature TRM Silver Stakes at the Curragh to land the Listed contest with complete authority.

Second in the Dante Stakes at York and third in the Irish 2000 Guineas on his previous two starts, Jim Bolger's charge was sent off the 5-4 favourite on this step back up to a mile and a quarter.

Kevin Manning settled him in second before taking over with a furlong and a half to run, and Trading Leather kept going well to hold Lines Of Battle readily by three and a half lengths to book his ticket to the Irish Derby.

The trainer and jockey were completing a double after the twice-placed Freedom Square (9-4 joint-favourite) put the experience to good use as he pulled clear of a field of newcomers in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.

Manning led nearly all the way on the juvenile, who was joined by Monsieur Power but found plenty and was back in command through the final furlong, beating Shining Emerald by a length and a half.

David Wachman's filly Royal Empress (2-1 joint-favourite) brought Group Three placed form into the Irish Field Maiden and looked a class act as she won in style by two and a quarter lengths under Wayne Lordan.

Kevin Prendergast's lightly raced Majenta (4-1), a winner on the Dundalk all-weather last time, held too many guns for Maggie Dalton in the TRI Equestrian EBF Fillies Handicap and won by a length under Chris Hayes.

Johnny Murtagh cruised up to the lead in the TRM Invest In Calphormin Handicap on the Willie Mullins-trained Levanto (3-1 favourite), but she didn't do much in front and held off Zarkiyr by a diminishing short head.

Declan McDonogh struck twice, for Eddie Lynam on Regal Power (10-1) in the TRM Excellence In Equine Nutrition Handicap and on easy winner Dabadiyan (9-10 favourite) for Mick Halford in the TRM Supporting Global Champions Maiden.
