< Jadanli made the most of testing conditions to spring a 25-1 shock in a dramatic Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse.

Paul Gilligan's eight-year-old was left in front at the third-last when the luckless Zaarito came a cropper while travelling sweetly, and it was plain sailing thereafter.

Andrew Lynch guided him over the last two fences without alarm and Jadanli came home 23 lengths clear of Deal Done with Roberto Goldback and Shakervilz coming to grief at the last, though the latter was remounted for third.< Luska Lad pulled out all the stops to land an unlikely victory in the Rathbarry & Glenview Studs Novice Hurdle, completing a Grade Two hat-trick in the process.

John Hanlon's smart six-year-old set off in the lead, but looked a beaten horse when market rival Blackstairmountain went past on the run to the final flight.

Luska Lad would not give up, however, and as Blackstairmountain tired in the ground, the 11-10 favourite collared him and went on to win by three-quarters of a length under Davy Russell.

The jockey completed a swift double when Michael Winters' prolific scorer For Bill got back in the winning groove in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Novice Hurdle.

Favourite Morning Supreme was always prominent and held the advantage two out, but For Bill (100-30) had been making smooth progress and took charge on the run to the last for an eight-length victory.

Russell made it three when Colm Murphy's Quito De La Roque (10-1) took the INH Stallion Owners EBF Novice Handicap Hurdle Series Final, catching Ad Idem nearing the last and galloping clear by a length and a quarter.

Hopes of a four-timer disappeared when Annual Report fell two out while still in contention in the Ryan's Cleaning Events Specialists Beginners Chase, along with Fort George That left the prize to Jim Culloty's Noble Concorde (8-1), the mount of Tom Doyle.

It was gamble landed in the Lexeme Retail Novice Handicap Hurdle when the John McConnell-trained Dul Ar An Ol (6-1) landed the spoils in emphatic fashion under Luke McNiff.
