Willie Mullins moved a step closer to being crowned leading trainer at the 2015 Galway Festival when Valyssa Monterg gave him his seventh win of the week in the Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle.

Originally only second reserve for this valuable heat, the 8-1 shot came with a wet sail under Ruby Walsh, who switched when stable companion Wood Breizh was pulled out.

She collared another Mullins inmate in Argentino & ndash; who also came off the substitutes bench & ndash; by two and three-quarter lengths, with Massini's Trap in third.< Waipu Cove made a mockery of his initial mark with a ridiculously easy success in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Nursery Handicap.

The Ger Lyons-trained 7-2 chance cruised into the lead on the turn for home and Leigh Roche hardly moved a muscle to see him home three and three-quarter lengths in front of Fit For Function < Landofhopeandglory (11-8) completed a brace for Aidan O'Brien when making a successful start to his career in the "This Is The Ladbrokes Life" EBF Maiden.

The High Chaparral colt eyeballed front-running favourite Kitten Loves Roses down the straight and once his head was in front, he kept it there, although Alaskan Son sprouted wings and was only a neck adrift at the line.

O'Brien's double began when even-money favourite Tigris River made it second-time lucky over timber with a nine-length success in the Ladbrokes Mobile Maiden Hurdle, ensuring Zafayan had to settle for the runner-up berth for the second time this week.< Ebadani (10-1) made the running in the Ladbrokes "The Believer" Handicap and while he looked like he would be swamped at one stage, he showed tremendous grit under 10 stone & ndash; minus Sean Corby's claim & ndash; to cling on.< Chillie Billie (16-1) also defied top weight to claim the spoils in the Ladbrokes Red Day Handicap, while 10-11 favourite First Figaro landed the Ladbrokes "Your Sport Your Way" INH Flat Race for Dermot Weld.
