< Arnaud (8-1) claimed the scalp of Rebel Fitz in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Beginners Chase at Killarney.

Galway Hurdle hero Rebel Fitz was sent off the 4-7 favourite on his fencing bow and jumped accurately on the heels of the pacesetters.

He was brought to the stands side by Barry Geraghty to throw down his challenge at the top of the straight, but Niall Madden has saved something on Arnaud, who found plenty for pressure and stayed on for a five-and-a-half-length verdict.

Geraghty went one better when Pur Style (2-1 joint-favourite) put her best foot forward in the Killarney Outlook Publications Handicap Chase.

Edward O'Grady's French import had shown little sparkle on Irish soil but stepping into handicap company for the first time, she showed a good attitude to collar Claragh Native after the last, before running out a two-and-three-quarter-length winner.< Mad Brian (5-1) got off the mark over the bigger obstacles at the first time of asking in the O'Keeffe, O'Shea, O'Connor Solicitors Novice Chase.

With market leader Turban making a mistake with a circuit to travel before struggling to go the pace from the turn, Toner D'Oudairies appeared the most likely winner when striking the front two out, but Keith Donoghue conjured another effort out of Mad Brian and he stuck his neck out to score by a length.< Secret Recipe (5-2) had to work hard to return with a victory in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Median Auction Race.

Pat Smullen was driving Dermot Weld's gelding along from a fair way out but he eventually hit top gear and once he took the lead off Levanto at the furlong marker, he stretched away to pass the post three and three-quarter lengths clear of Hold The Line < Kiss Goodnight (4-1) grabbed Lake Louise in the closing stages of the Follow Killarney Races On Facebook Handicap, while last week's Cork scorer College Boy defied a penalty in the Killarney Vintners Handicap.
