< Grandma Dotty caused a real upset at Roscommon when lowering the colours of hot favourite Clondaw Warrior in the Sean Cleary Memorial Handicap.

After winning a Tramore handicap by eight lengths on Saturday, Clondaw Warrior was sent off the 2-9 favourite to follow up under a penalty and cruised into the lead over a furlong out.

Grandma Dotty found plenty for Fran Berry, though, and Charlie Swan's 14-1 chance proved much the stronger in the closing stages, scoring by half a length.

Willie McCreery enjoyed a double on the card, culminating in Love The Feeling s success on his debut over timber in the Abbey Hotel Roscommon 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle.

One of three runners in contention at the second-last, the 11-1 chance found plenty for Mark Walsh's pressure to come home four and a half lengths clear of Cabarete

McCreery's double started when Kanes Pass (16-1) produced a strong late surge to finally get the better of Have A Nice Day by half a length in the Follow Roscommon On Facebook Handicap.< Belle Et Bete proved too good for her rivals in the Roscommon Auction Race.

The only previous winner in the field, Ger Lyons' filly went off the 4-7 favourite and after taking up the running just inside the two-furlong pole, she kept on well under Colin Keane to beat Spiritual Man by a length and a quarter.

A tremendous duel between Empress Toorah and Willowing ended with the former winning the Sean Cleary Memorial Handicap.

After frontrunners Calorie and Truly Delightful faded over a furlong out, the pair were locked together throughout the closing stages, with Pat Smullen just getting the Sabrina Harty-trained 11-2 chance ahead on the line.

Eddie O'Grady's 9-2 favourite Hell Cat Maggie landed the Murray Ambulance Service Mares Handicap Hurdle.

Gordon Elliott's Clara Mc Cloud travelled sweetly for Davy Condon before edging out Waaheb in the Athleague Hurdle.
