Concorde on course for Plate

The Dermot Weld trained Majestic Concorde is on course for the Galway Plate, with last year’s third placed runner generally available at 10/1 for the event,

Last seen when unseating Robbie McNamara in the Grand National at Aintree, the gelding won the 2008 renewal of the GPT Amateur Riders Handicap and finished third to Finger Onthe Pulse in last year’s Plate.

Weld reported "Majestic Concorde runs in the Plate and is in good form. He ran very well last year and it was great to win a Paddy Power with him at Christmas. If Majestic Concorde ends up with 11-10 in the Galway Plate we may decide to claim off him."
