Crowd & Tote down, but Bookies up

The crowd for the final day of the Galway Festival was down from 13,786 last year to 11,128 this year, a drop of 2,658.

The Tote aggregate for the day was also down from €474,531.00 last year to €404,299.85 this year, a drop of €70,231.15.

However, the Bookies had their second increase of the week after yesterday’s rise, today their turnover figure was €1,007,151.00 compared to last year's figure of €989,682.00. That’s a increase by €17,469.

The total attendance figure for the seven day Festival was 146,847, a drop of 3,930 (2.6%) on last year's figure of 150,777.
