Further watering at Galway

The track at Galway will be watered again this evening ahead of the seven day Festival meeting which gets underway at 5.05pm tomorrow.

The going is currently good and, with a favourable weather forecast, it was decided to put a further 5mm on the track this evening.

The western course has been drying out all week, and watering commenced on Friday.

The day one feature is the €75,000 carlton.ie/galwaycity (Q.R.) Handicap, where Ballybrit specialist Dermot Weld provides the favourite in Natural High.

The Sadler's Wells gelding, already a winner at this venue, is a 4/1 chance with William Hill.
