Butler shines on Trim

Everybody must have thought we were mad going from five furlongs on the Flat to a two-mile hurdle!. He improved a lot from his previous run and Shane Butler gave him a great ride. He was always going well and just made one slight mistake down the back. Shane stayed calm when Ruby came to him on the hot favourite. We'll see what the handicapper does with him and probably go for a four-year-old handicap in the near future.

Myth springs shock in Freshways

The horse had a leg injury a couple of years ago and we've been nursing him back to health,. The lightweight helped him a lot today. It was Ian McCarthy's first ride for me and he gave the horse a great ride. He's local to me and I'll be giving him a lot more rides in future. This horse doesn't do too much at home - a bit like the trainer!

He won very easy in Killarney and has improved a lot since obviously, the way he won today,. We'll see what the handicapper does with him before we run him on the Flat again but he could go for a hurdle at Downpatrick Sunday week.. The owners missed the win at Killarney but I was thrilled for them that they were here today.

Robbie said something distracted him in the infield,. He was very ill as a two-year-old and Stan Cosgrave done a wonderful job with him - he saved his life. It took a long time for him to recover from the illness. He'll probably go for a Flat maiden now but we'll also consider a winners bumper.
