Leopardstown Sat, 12th Sep, 2026 Darkness Falls He does everything right. He jumped quickly and travelled very comfortably. We went a good pace early and he was always travelling very easily. It is only his third start and he had a look at the road when we were out wide, so he knows where home is, but he is a very straightforward horse. Loved him. He had a lovely run around here in a maiden and then was very impressive the last day. Obviously, he’s by Camelot which makes him extra special. Ryan said the trip is going to be no problem, a mile and he’s going to get a mile-and-a-quarter next year. He’s just has a lot of class. It’s an unbelievable race to have on here at this time. It’s a lovely first running of it. It’s going to be a very important race and all the good horses were there, all the good type middle-distance horses. I was very impressed and delighted with him. It’ll be hard for a classier Derby-type horse to come out than this, the way he did it the last day and they way he did that today. It was a proper gallop, there was nowhere to hide out there. Ryan eased out with him and he quickened up very well. He has a lovely nature, which makes him really special. He’s very exciting. He’s out of a No Nay Never mare so there is a lot of speed in there but he has the class. I’m delighted to have him. I think he can go anywhere he wants. Fri, 11th Sep, 2026 Christmas Day The whole team has wanted Christmas Day to stay in the Classics and to go from the Derby to the Leger is very special. Very few horses have done it. He’s shown he has the class to win a Derby and he had a lovely run in York as a trial where we were very happy with him.
Cork Wed, 9th Sep, 2026 Marco Polo He had a very good run first time, with the form of the race working out well, so Aidan pitched him in the Gimcrack. He was very keen and did everything wrong at York, so we put a line through that and this race worked out lovely and gave him confidence. Wayne said he has a lot of pace and coming back to five (furlongs) would be no problem to him. He has shown a lot of potential at home and is lovely looking. Navan Sat, 5th Sep, 2026 Flower Forest She had a lovely run the first day in Cork, and ran nice enough in Roscommon where the race didn't really work out for her and she was trapped wide, so we thought she was better than that. She's a filly that has shown ability at home and this race worked out lovely for her. Obviously, first box ticked for her, and we will try and get a bit of black-type for her. She might go to the Denny Cordell (Lavarack Stakes, Group 3) at Gowran. I know it is over nine and a half (furlongs) and go from there. If she doesn't get there, on to the Garnet Stakes (Listed Naas). Obviously, it is a stiff mile here, and it would be an easy nine and a half in Gowran.
Curragh Sat, 29th Aug, 2026 Darkness Falls He had a lovely run the first day. He's a Camelot with a lot of class. He's a beautiful mover, so ground won't matter to him. When Ryan said ‘go’, it was over very quick. We thought he was good. The maiden he ran in at Leopardstown was a very good race. We thought the second was very good, and the winner was just beaten in the Futurity. He's in the mix for the Golden Fleece at Leopardstown. That's why he ran again today.
