I'm delighted for Philip (Byrne) his owner. He was a bit unlucky down in Cork, and to make it worse he was badly hampered by a horse of our own when he might have went close in a handicap,. He didn't get home at Ballinrobe when we ran him a two and a quarter mile race, which was run like a two and a half mile race as they went a real strong gallop. We said we'd switch him back to a maiden and they mightn't go as quick, which I don't think they did. He got a lovely run of the race and avoided all the trouble. Evan gave him a lovely ride and if you were to paint a picture of what we were planning to do, he carried it out to perfection.
