Mon, 20th Apr, 2026  We needed a change of luck as we've had a horrific April. This is probably his minimum trip and we had to force him a bit, which probably didn't suit him. He is really a galloping horse, but it was just the conditions of the race suited. We got our bit of luck and I'm delighted for the lads (Ira Hayes Partnership) seven-year-old, they've been very patient with him. He hit the line quite well, he wasn't tired or anything. Danny said that up in trip you'll see a better horse. Hopefully, there is fun to be had with him. John C McConnell

After race at Wexford Mon, 28th Oct, 2024 (1st)  We were very, very disappointed after the first day. We went to Listowel thinking he'd win and we are still not sure what went wrong. It was very, very wet that day, it was over two and a half and he was quite keen for his first day at school. He didn't run that bad and if our expectations weren't so high we wouldn't have been disappointed. You kind of lose confidence then. John C McConnell
