Given his huge strength in depth, stable second and third strings always deserve maximum respect and so it proved once again, as 16/1 outsider Dancing City stayed on powerfully to beat evens favourite Predators Gold in the Grade 1 Nathaniel Lacey & Partners Solicitors Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown.

Loughglynn (2/5f) was the second unplaced Cheltenham Bumper-runner to score on hurdling debut for champion trainer Willie Mullins at Punchestown today, landing the Connolly's Red Mills EBF Auction Maiden Hurdle under Paul Townend.

He was good and he’s improved. He’s a laidback type of horse and he kept responding. I think he’ll go out in trip as he doesn’t do anything quick. He stays very well and is a great ride — he only gives what you ask for which is always a help. We took a chance running him in a hundred grand race last year. I think he’s improved a lot and I think he’ll improve again.
