After race at Ballinrobe Fri, 11th Sep, 2026 (1st)  I told Niall to be handy and, if there was no pace, to let him on. I had my eye on Niall for a long time, he's a good claimer and rides to instructions as much as possible. He said he hung left all the way, and he probably got beat in Sligo for going left after the last, so he might be a better horse at a left-handed track. We'll see what the handicapper does, but he jumps fences well, so we have that option too. He's a straightforward horse at home, my daughter Aibhe rides him, but he gets a bit fresh when he comes racing. He'll handle soft ground, but not winter soft. I've about 18 or 19 in training, and have a couple of nice unraced mares to come out. Donncha Duggan

Thu, 16th Jul, 2026  Better ground was a big help and he just needed to brush up a bit on his jumping, he was very green for handicaps. He did plenty of schooling at home. He’s a fine big horse and he’ll jump a fence. He loves good ground, so hopefully he’ll have a good summer campaign. Donncha Duggan
