Sun, 14th Dec, 2025  The boys had a right few quid on him, they got 66/1. I rang the lads last night and said to bring a few quid. He ran in a Listed race the last time and he is 9lb lower over hurdles than he is over fences, and he wants heavy (ground). He has to have heavy. The only thing I was a little bit doubtful about was that my horses are after being off the boil. It is only last week I worked horses and I was happy coming back with them. I haven't been happy for three months. The last day was over fences, and he is as good over hurdles as he is over fences. You'll see him at Limerick over Christmas. John Joseph Hanlon

After race at Down Royal Mon, 5th May, 2025 (1st)  I'm delighted for Paddy, he gave him a peach. Two completely different rides. He's a horse that loses interest, he gave him a slap down the shoulder and kept him interested. When he passed one or two, he picked up. He's going out in the field this evening. He wants a cut in the ground. It shows how good a job they did on the ground, the ground is beautiful here. It is on the soft side of good - if it was good, he wouldn't win. I have to praise the track for a great job that they have done. Paddy is only 17 and he won't be 18 for another while. A tall lad and he won't be at it for all his life. It is very hard to get outside rides for him. In fairness to Garry Cribbin (agent), he is very good but it is very hard to get outside rides. We kind of pulled back on him for the last month to keep him for the 15 and under races. He is probably as good as is what is there. Hopefully, I will have plenty of rides for him. After race at Limerick Tue, 21st Nov, 2023 (1st)  He is a lovely big horse but was weak and took ages to come. He was probably too weak last year and he will make a lovely chaser as he is 16.3hh,. He loved that heavy ground and it was great to get today out of the way. He is entered again for Sunday in a handicap hurdle over three miles and I think the farther the trip the better he'll be. The owner William Carroll, from New Ross, bred him and he is currently on a boat to England as his business is there. John Joseph Hanlon
